Students Traveling Abroad

Consider these pointers when planning student travel

  • Ensure students know the rules of the country they will be visiting before departure
  • Provide a printed travel itinerary to everyone involved
  • Make luggage easily identifiable
  • Remind students to keep their passport and identification handy
    • Make copies of your passport and leave one at home
    • Safeguard your passport at all times while traveling
  • If possible, get a burner cell phone instead of using your cell phone
  • Be as careful other electronics as with passport and other identification
  • Let travelers know when they may use cellphones or other electronic devices
  • Have photography rules in place
  • Ensure that the group leader has medical information for everyone in the group
    • This includes food allergies
    • Special diets
  • Be aware of special needs (if students requires crutches or wheelchair)
